The Position
We are currently seeking experienced Civil all-rounders that will be in a mixed role involving concreting (kerb & channel, footpath etc), operating (excavator, bobcat), and general labouring. This will be a full-time role, Monday to Friday with base location of Kilsyth. Jobs are in and around Melbourne, predominantly in the South East suburbs.
Key accountabilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labour on projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces
- Lay and finish of materials, specifically, kerb & channel, road constructions, crossovers, footpaths
- If licensed, operate equipment including Excavators, Rollers, Skid Steer, Paver or Profiler
- Ensure all small plant is adequately maintained and serviced
- Shovel crushed materials into construction area.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
Core competencies & requirements:
- 2+ year experience in civil construction concreting
- 2+ years experience in plant operation
- Red or White construction card
- Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle
- HR licence is highly regarded
- First Aid Level 2 certificate is desirable
